Learning is Fun !  Always at the Learning Tree we believe young children especially need to be children.  The Primary School has been developed into a "prepared environment," which excites and challenges the child's curious intellect.  The school is a world of concrete material, encouraging the child to explore, touch, create, learn and communicate.  The atmosphere is Montessori-oriented, allowing freedom with responsibility, emphasizing the development of "inner discipline" rather than the use of outward controls.  Literacy is at the heart of everything we do, providing a print rich environment and appreciation for the spoken & written word.

The main goal of the Primary School is to provide an organized, creative, and constructive learning program in a Christian home-like atmosphere for their children.  We have researched many curriculums and feel that A Beka curriculum represents a rigorous Christian based learning environment.

The God-given ministry of Christian schools is to lead young people to Christ and train them in the Bible, Christian character, language, and traditional subject matter.  Today's students need to be taught the accumulated wisdom of the past from God's point of view and trained in the way they should go (Prov. 22:6) so they will have a firm foundation from which to evaluate the present and make proper decisions for the future.  (abeka.com)

We send home a monthly class calendar to help make you aware of every special project and event in the classroom. We also post weekly menus, and have a monthly newsletter to keep you up to speed.
